Hi friends. In this video, we show you how to start a circular peyote stitch to create a dome shape with beads. To get started, we use two different colors of pony beads. Of course, if you're working with a specific pattern, make sure to use the right beads, colors, and sizes. You're also going to need some scissors and a beading needle. Our needle is much larger because it's a yarn needle, since we are using yarn instead of normal beading thread.

⏱️ 00:26 — Thread and Initial Loop
First, start by cutting the right length of thread based on what's written on your pattern. Once this is done, simply set up your beading needle by passing the thread through it. You can double a big part of the thread so it's easier to pull through and you don't have to pull through the whole length. Start by adding five beads to your needle.

The next step is to tie a few knots to close a loop between the beads. You can leave a five to 10 cm tail and tie at least two or three knots, pulling tight to make sure that it's well secured.

Then pass your needle through the first bead of that little five bead structure. Now we can simply cut the end thread close to the knots.

We use white beads for the first row. We are going to add one white bead between each pink bead of the loop. There will be five beads total. Once you finish adding one bead all around, don't forget to pass back through the first bead of this row. Then pull the thread tight and make sure the beads seat nicely in place. You can push them with your fingers if they don't.

For the second row, we use the pink beads again. We add two beads between each white bead of the first row, making 10 beads in total. Once you finish adding two beads all around, don't forget to pass back through the first bead of this row and pull tight.

For the third row, we use white beads. We add one white bead between each pink bead of the second row, which is 10 beads total again. Once you finish adding the two beads all around, don't forget to pass through the first bead again and pull tight.

For the fourth row, we add one pink bead between each white bead of the third row, making 10 beads total. Once you finish adding one bead all around, again, pass back through the first bead of this row and pull tight.

Now, for the fifth row, we alternate between adding one white bead and adding two white beads between each pink bead of the fourth row, ending up with 15 beads total. Remember to add one bead, then two beads, then one bead, then two beads, and keep going like this until you're done with this row. Again, once you're done, pass back through the first bead.

For the sixth row, we add one pink bead between each white bead of the fifth row, making 15 beads total. Once you finish adding one bead all around, pass back through the first bead of this row and pull tight.

⏱️ 04:09 — 3D Dome Shape Reveal
At this point you'll start to see the 3D shape, and the little dome is forming. This is the same technique that you are going to use to make a full sphere. The key is just following the bead count for each row and keeping an eye on the placements and colors. Thank you for watching and happy beading.
